Michelle Bachmann officially suspended her campaign Wednesday morning after a disappointing finish in the Iowa caucuses. The Iowa native and congresswoman from Minnesota finished in last place in Iowa Tuesday night with only 5% of the votes tallied. Bachmann spoke extensively of her faith in God and her conviction that the President’s “socialist policies” are destroying America as it was founded. Bachmann refused to offer an endorsement, saying “I believe we must rally around the person who are party selects”. Bachmann was a tea party favorite and also known for her conservative stance on social issues. It remains to be seen if she will make another run for her Minnesota seat in her district, which has been redrawn since the last elections.
