For the Children:

Ah, nothing tugs at the heart strings like doing the right thing ‘for the children’.  Presidents often surround themselves with adorable cherubs while signing legislation into law that has the capacity to ‘save just one more child’

I would like to suggest another smiling, chubby cheek watching, legislation signing opportunity for President Obama. A doctor is on trial because his and certain other clinics are never inspected; therefore women and children are subjected to numerous, various dangers. Something MUST be done to prevent this tragedy from EVER happening again! Laws must be passed for the sake of saving “one child”.

Here is my vision for the setting. Imagine the President -smiling, pen in hand hovering over the important, lifesaving, clinic inspection legislation. The scene includes the ever important innocent young persons….in jars…. Hundreds of them, stacked neatly in rows, with blue and pink ribbons.  These jars are from the evil Dr. Gosnell’s clinic where these children and a few of their mothers died.

The hands, feet, limbs and  heads of children in jars looking on as the President vows to prevent one more “jar” from ever existing.  So beautiful, so heartwarming, brings a tear to the eye!

Agenda 21 is a very creepy U.N. global climate change initiative that seeks to exercise control over local and regional governments and business through it’s “environmental” policies. Here in California, Aliso Viejo City Councilman Mike Munzing has been sounding the alarm to this international intrusion into his very own city. Last night a city council meeting was conducted to discuss implementing Agenda 21 in Aliso Viejo. Citizens from across the region attended; even David Spady of Americans for Prosperity was in attendance.  Local blogger Susan Hartman attended the meeting. When Should Becomes Shall by Susan Hartman

ICLEI (U.N. Agenda 21) website - “The movement from Local Agenda 21 to Local Action 21 ushers local governments from general sustainable development planning to working with local stakeholders address inter-related challenges to poverty and sustainability. ICLEI seeks to build Sustainable Communities and Cities by enabling local governments achieve justice, security, resilience, viable economies, and healthy environments. The four initiatives are: (a) Resilient Communities and Cities, (b) Just and Peaceful Communities, (c) Viable Local Economies, and (d) Eco-efficient Cities.”

Last night I attended a standing room only city council meeting. The hot agenda for the night was a vote on whether to adopt a “Green City Initiative”. As more and more American citizens inform themselves on local implementation of United Nations global human planning agenda, the more vocal they are becoming in voicing opposition.

The key word for the night was ‘voluntary’. Those in support of the ‘Green City Initiative’ (aka; human living planning) repeatedly asserted that all implementation of the new law would be voluntary. Those in opposition prefered to repeat “when should becomes shall”. The $400,000 disputed document consists of 104 pages of “suggestions” in reducing the city’s carbon footprint in order to help stop global warming.

Many attendants spoke about the high costs and practicality of implementation. I chose to challenge the City Council on whether ‘going green’ is actually good and healthy. It is my opinion that we are increasingly being told what is good for us when all around we can see the results are actually the opposite. I reminded the Council that CA is now dead last in the nation for employment due to massive taxation and regulation sold to us as ‘saving the planet’. Our central valley famers used to feed the world but now stand in food stamp lines because CA government wants to ‘save the fish’. My son is terrified to ride the Metrolink, which is continually sold as the best solution for getting people out of their cars. The Metrolink is rarely on schedule, expensive and frequently derails. I can no longer buy a $1 lightbulb that works and instead must buy a cancer causing $20 blinky bulb. (Great example of “when should becomes shall”) And about those solar panels that give us all a shot of high self-esteem for rejecting that nasty oil; no one wants to talk about the massive human and environmental damage in China from rare earth minerals mining critical for making solar panels. We all agree that buying oil from Arabs is bad but no one will say why buying rare earth minerals from China is sooo much better.

Why would anyone push for laws that are so unhealthy for humans? I chose a quote from the father of the modern green move and the inventor of the word ‘sustainability’, “The common enemy of humanity is man. In searching for a new enemy to unite us, we came up with the idea that pollution, the threat of global warming, water shortages, famine and the like would fit the bill. All these dangers are caused by human intervention, and it is only through changed attitudes and behavior that they can be overcome.”

I concur with those worried about “when should becomes shall”. If a two decades old, detailed plan devised by the United Nations for global human planning on every level is being pushed on countries, states, cities, and communities in a one size fits all plan, then why should we believe that any of it is really ‘voluntary’?
