A message to President Obama and the White House:
I’ve been inspired by our President’s sensitivity regarding international manners over the last few days…espeicially the courage he has shown in quickly issuing apologies to President Karzai of Afghanistan in the wake of the story about our military burning Korans outside of a detention facility. Our President is not afraid to apologize. Quite the contrary, he makes apologizing look easy. I want to be a part of the new international tone that Mr.Obama is setting with his sensitivity. I’d like to help. So I wrote my own apology to President Karzai, as a concerned citizen of the United States. Enjoy the video and a transcript is also posted below.
Dear President Karzai:
I’ve seen in the news the anger and frustration your people are expressing after it was discovered that members of our military burned copies of the Koran outside an American detention facility. Your people were outraged. I was outraged too and I’d like to express my sincere apologies. I am sorry, President Karzai. I am sorry that your penchant for raising and harboring terrorist enemies of the United States has made it necessary for us to be in your crappy, corrupt, backwards country for as long as we’ve been there. I’m sorry that the politically correct, blame-America first crowd has so infected our military operations that the rules of engagement make it impossible for us to just quickly level the bad guys there and leave. I’m sorry that you run a nation of men who would kill and have killed over the printed words on a page but who have no problem whatsoever with sewing a 12-year-old girl’s vagina shut so she can’t “sin” or beheading homosexuals. I’m sorry that your homegrown terrorist detainees use your own Holy texts, provided by our taxpayers here in the US, to send covert/coded messages back and forth. I’m sorry that our soldiers must intercept those messages and destroy them in order to keep our own personnel safe. I’m sorry that while you live in the lap of luxury on our foreign aid dollars your own people are starving and dying in abject poverty. I’m sorry that your religion has left you completely incapable of seeing the irony in your feigned outrage at the burning of 4 Korans while you imprison and even execute anyone in your country who has the audacity to get themselves raped or leave Islam for another faith. I’m sorry that our President would make such a public spectacle of apologizing for the burning of books containing secret prisoner communications while giving you and your armed forces a pass on murdering our own military personnel in cold blood. I’m sorry that your culture finds it acceptable for grown men to leave off caring for their families in order to stand around for days shooting guns, burning American flags and calling our President names like “Black Dog”. I’m sorry our President sees more value in apologizing to those men than standing up for American interests and freedoms. Mostly, President Karzai, I’m sorry that we don’t have a leader with enough balls to tell you to kindly take your fake moral outrage and your terrorist sensibilities and shove them both where the sun don’t shine: and I’m not talking about those caves you use to house your Taliban allies.

It just seems that leader in our government should be able to fashion a response that makes as much sense as the response that you fashioned.
We as americans give are young men and women and are money to attempt to allow your people to grow up in a free country and still we appologize for a couple of books being burned and not to mention that we recieve no ( I’m sorry for the death of your soldiers.

I was astounded to watch your video. I think perhaps it might be a good idea to look over some facts.
1. Actually, Afghanistan doesn’t have a penchant for raising and harboring terrorists, the majority of Afghans knew very little about Osama bin Laden, except that he helped build roads and infrastructure in Afghanistan and that he helped to fight the Soviet Union (with the US’ support). The US however does have a history of not only harboring terrorists, but creating them in the first place examples of this include the Cuban fugitive, Luis Posada Carrilles who is responsible for several attacks including the blowing up of a Cuban airline which killed more than 70 people, the US government was aware of his plot and did nothing to alert the Cubans and even used him in El Salvador as an agent. They refuse to extradite him to Cuba or Venezuela and instead harbor him, does that then give Cuba the right to now invade the US? I can imagine that you might laugh at the idea of Cuba doing that, but that is only because Cuba seems incapable of doing that militarily, however does that mean that Cuba has no right to do it? And if it does, simply because the US is the US then is that not hypocrisy which will only breed resentment to the US? Surely the US should live by the same rules it tries to force on other nations, that is of course, if you believe in equality?
2. If you think that having superior firepower and the ability to use it indiscriminately will mean that you can win a war then you’re sorely mistaken, the Russians tried that in the 80′s in Afghanistan and failed miserably, no war can be won simply by force, not unless you’re planning to take over a nation and kill every inhabitant there. The notion that the military should be able to “quickly level the bad guys and be out of there” is farcical, only an ignorant person that has delusions of grandeur would actually think that they could win a war this way, this is precisely why the US will never win any war in Afghanistan.
3. In terms of Female Genital Mutilation, I’m not sure if there have been any reports of actual FGM in Afghanistan, it’s not East Africa where this type of behavior is rife. Do they treat women badly? Sure they do, but let’s not be intellectually dishonest and willfully ignorant to attribute things to them when it is not true. There are many other abuses that occur that you could choose from.
4. In terms of some Afghans referring to Barack Obama as a ‘Black Dog’, isn’t it surprising that this occurred? I think so too, but don’t you think that you should be more angry at is the fact that the majority of the prison population in the US are African American, that the institutionalized racism there has still not ceased, according to Dr Michelle Alexander’s book The New Jim Crow: Mass Incarceration in the Age of Colorblindness it is at an all time high, yet you choose to instead focus on a minority of ignorant Afghans who chose to use the color of Barack Obama’s skin as a means to insult him. Sure it’s racist and wrong, but don’t you think it’d be a much better idea to start fixing the racism in your own backyard first or are you happy still playing the role of house negro for your massa?? Just because massa throws you a bone every once and a while it doesn’t mean that you are now equal or completely free.
5. If you don’t like Americans being in Afghanistan, wasting their lives and your tax money in being there, then perhaps it’s a good idea to remove the troops? You’re losing the war anyway and you have no moral or legal right to be there, especially considering the fact that Osama bin Laden is now dead.. Orrr maybe the US should have just handed over evidence of bin Laden’s involvement in the 9/11 attacks when the Taliban asked for it in 2001 when the US demanded they hand him over, and all of this war could have been avoided. Oh that’s right, Americans think that due to their immense size and military might, they’re not obligated to follow standard protocols when it comes to extraditions from nations, because America is so powerful and awesome that they don’t need evidence.. Was that it? Sure I think it definitely was, but the truth is that Americans simply wanted blood, not justice, they wanted a war and that is what they got, they fell into the very trap that bin Laden had planned.. How well has that worked out for you? Your nation is bankrupt, on the brink of a depression, your military is overstretched and you’re losing a war in Afghanistan by a much smaller enemy that is ultimately less well armed than you are.. Despite the fact that he is now dead, bin Laden won and America has lost.

Has the military and the USA made mistakes? Yes.
Have some soldiers wearied of being attacked by ‘walking human bombs, carried by children, women, and ‘would-bemartyrs’???? Unfortunately, yes.
But all of that was an unfortunate and essentially unintended consequence / result – while saving thousands, if not millions of lives, voer the decase from mustard gas, genocides, and their tribals / country’s own ‘leaders’ whom they are / were unable to throw-out.
So tony, if you REALLY think that there’s is a better world, please renounce your USA citizenship, if you have one, and go live there ASAP! The sooner the better, and take along the like-minded!
You state that the Taliban would not have handed over bin Laden should the US have shown them evidence of his guilt. How do you know that? Were you part of the Taliban’s governing council? I am going to take a wild stab in the dark and guess that you were not a part of the governing council. I believe that the Taliban would have handed bin Laden over if it had been proven to them that bin Laden were responsible for the attacks on 9/11. If you look at it historically you would realize that Mullah Omar was already out of patience for bin Laden and on several occasions warned him not to attack the US because they didn’t want any repercussions back on them. The assertion that the Taliban were somehow aware of bin Laden’s activities in planning and executing the attacks on 9/11 are ridiculous, they were administering a country and not causing any issues. It might also suprise you to know that they ALSO told Clinton in 1998 the same thing, if you want bin Laden, hand over evidence that shows that he has a case to answer for and they would extradite him. Even then, the US Government didn’t hand over anything. But we could also go further back, the Sudanese government offered to hand bin Laden over a few years before but the US Government refused to take him, they didn’t even want any evidence! The US Government is not exempt from international conventions, especially that of the right process for an extradition simply because the US feels that because they are the US they are above all of these conventions. It’s arrogant and dangerous and leads to surprise surprise, wars which were unnecessary in the first place.
The reason why the White House hasn’t called out so called Islamists is because of the fact that ultimately, Muslims have nothing to answer for, the actions of these extremists are not the fault of all Muslims because the White House is aware, that these actions do not only not represent Islamic principles, but that they completely contradict such principles. But I might also remind you of something else, being an Islamist, that is a person who believes that Shariah law spread around the world, that Western law is corrupt and hypocritical is actually not illegal in the US, the first amendment gives people that right and it was the goal of the founding fathers to protect that right, even for the crazies, not just the Muslim ones but those from every religion.
In terms of leaving people like Stalin, Mao, Hitler etc in place, no I don’t think they should have been left in place but actually, you may actually recall, the US didn’t remove Mao or Stalin, Hitler yes because the US fought Germany in WW2. I’m not an apologist, I just think that not every dictator or bad government should be bombed to solve the situation, it’s not a one size fits all solution. Instead do what the Founding Fathers suggested, engage in trade and commerce and lead by example. If there is a human disaster or tragedy then yes, sure, let’s go to war to protect the innocent but that was not the intentions of the US Government in going into Afghanistan, it was never an actual goal there to remove the Taliban, that was just convenient for a short time but ultimately, the US government is aware that they’ll need to include the Taliban in a peace process and let them back into government in Afghanistan. So was it all worth it? The countless American and civilian lives that have been lost? Fighting a group that the US would ultimately let back into power? I think not.
Has the US Military made mistakes? Sure, I personally think that the US military did nothing wrong by burning those Qurans as Islamically, the only way to dispose of a Quran is by burning it. However Afghans are generally ignorant and easy to whip into a lynchmob by showing them this and saying it’s an attack on Islam.
But that shouldn’t detract from the other points I raised. Ms Davis made some very ignorant statements which were full of hypocrisy and inaccuracies which she should correct.
Lastly, should I renounce my citizenship simply because I disagree with the US Government’s actions over the last 60 years? Hmmm to do so would be unamerican. What is more American than to criticize what I see wrong with the freedoms that we were blessed with. Simply because troops have died for my freedoms in foreign lands, doesn’t mean that I have to shut up and let them keep bleeding for it in places where ultimately, they shouldn’t have to be because it is of no value to US interests. Instead, let them return home to their families. There is no use to this war.
Wake up…it’s the blind leading the blind in Iraq and Afghanistan. If they want to stay in the 6th century I welcome it. Behold they are ‘honor’ killing their daughters for being raped, persecuting the few Christians in their countries, murdering their ‘brothers’ with homemade bombs I will be working, providing a safe home for my family and enjoying a Starbucks. Chance, I’ve lived in the Middle East, majority of people that are there are not extreme at all. There is a very small minority that are but that is no different than Christian extremists in the US that blow up abortion clinics and shoot abortion doctors, or Extremist Jews in Israel that pelt women with stones for being on the same bus as men and not wearing wigs or those who go into mosques and shoot them up. All groups have extremists, the majority though are not anywhere near like that.
Now in terms of the call to prayer, I’m not sure how you can consider that to be a means of ‘down grading’ of non Muslims, it simply calls people to prayer. You also state that if you miss prayers at the mosque a concerned Imam comes and visits you. That’s no different than here in the West where a Pastor or Reverend of your congregation might visit you if they don’t see you for a while, just to make sure you’re okay as their might be something they can help with, nevertheless, whilst I lived in the Middle East I never had an Imam visit me for not going to the Mosque.
Your next point about Islam saying to kill those who don’t become Muslim or marginalize them. I’m not sure where you got this idea from, if this truly were the case, the entire Middle East and parts of Europe would be Muslim and there would be no Christian or Jew near it as we’ve ruled this area. But that isn’t the case and why not? Because Islam doesn’t state that we have to force people into Islam, nor marginalize them for being non Muslim. Did you know that 20% of Arabs in the Middle East are Christian and the third largest population of Jews in the world are in Iran where they’re protected? What you’re saying might be true for some monarchs and governments in the past but is not true for Islam in general, which can only mean that whenever this did occur, it was not in line with Islam but the extremist policies of certain governments etc.
Why should I renounce my citizenship? Muslims have been in the US since the early days, long before 1776. Are you aware that many principles of US law actually come from Islamic law as well as other different systems. Jefferson himself stated when he created the Constitution of Virginia that he wanted freedom of religion to allow different religions including Islam to be in the US. Benjamin Franklin also welcomed Islam and Muslims and ultimately, I believe there is ultimately no bigger natural ally to Islam than the US simply because that at its root, Islam is very liberty focused, youtube Muhammad the libertarian and listen to Dr Imad ad Deen Ahmad speak about how close they are.

I too am INTIMATELY aware of the conditions of life within the Arab nations. Many in country muslims and others are culture muslims, not real muslims, like many Christians who claim to be Christians but are not. Unlike Christians or Jews or Hindus they “choose” Islam so that they can have a job and a normal tax rate and not have to seat at the back of the bus, even behind the women, so to speak; and not have their daughters kid knapped and forced to marry some Muslim as his sex toy. Further, you may want to look at Surah’s 8:39-40, 2:132; 3:19, 85; 48:16, 28-29; 61:9; 110 and Koran 9:5; 4:76; 2:214; 8:39 to see more of the hatred and murder that is the demanded duty of the muslim.

It appears that you are uninformed on many, many things.
1) it is well known and documented that Afghanistan does and has for at least 2 generations been harboring and training terrorist. As the (past) leader of the world The USA has as all leaders do, certain responsiblities to the under priviliged and the opressed. Good and Evil are not subjective.
Your hypocrisy (as it is with all real Muslims) is so transparent that it many can’t see it. It is Ok to bomb and murder innocent individuals but it is not OK for the living to retailate for justice. That is unless it was/is your kin or country being bombed. further, the USA is the ONLY country that has “invaded” (as racist, sad, deceived people like to say)another country and gives it back to the people who wanted it free.
I am sorry to inform the others here on this board (I believe you already know) that war and covert war is a very ugly business and when done correctly you use the bad guys to kill the bad guys. These American rules, we are the ones who pushed and brought forth such rules of engagment that the world, especially the muslims embrace when it is suites their purposes, do in fact keep us from killing the bad guys (damn American mercy and goodness in not killing the human shields the bad guys use) and winning the war. As you correctly stated a nation cannot win a war by force alone; one must take over the culture, that means the minimum of the education and media systems for at least one full generation. Withot that, all you can do is dicipline the offenders. Since our rules do not allow us to openly take over the culture of another nation, then at times punishment and carrot is all that remains. Yet as already stated the ability of proper punishment for the crime, regretfully, is severly limited.
Delusions of granduer? The world doesn’t seem to indicate that since they are and have been trying to copy us for the last 150 or more years; since that everyone and their false cousins desires to live here (at almost any cost); since we have to build walls and make all kinds of laws to keep people out (as opposed to keeping them in.). Yes, you are continuing to teach us very well about delusions.
3) In terms of Female Genital Mutilation; you missed it again if because of selective hearing or delusion I do not know. But I will try to se if you can understand. FGM was an example, the point being as said “so she wouldn’t sin”. It is the absolute and complete total loss of all freedom for all peoples under the sharia law that you favor even to the point of total inhumane abuse upon the most innocent of persons, children.
4) Why would you or anyone besurpised that Muslims called even their brother Muslim Obama (his dad was Mulsim, thus by Isalmic law he is Muslim, please don’t try and lie). In every nation there is a small precentage of people who hate, America included. I’m sorry but the US has no right to talk about other nations harboring terrorists when the US government funds and trains terrorist groups to commit terrorist attacks around the world, and then also harbors them like they did with the Cuban I mentioned. I’m not sure where you’re getting at, the US is not going to be in Afghanistan for more than a generation or even half of one, it’s losing the war and not able to sustain that type of campaign with the current financial situation that it is in. Ultimately it’s only going to be a very short stain on Afghan history.
3. FGM was not an example, it was a claim about Afghanistan and it is factually untrue. It’s not Kurdistan or East Africa where both Muslims and non Muslims practice this disgusting tradition. It’s steeped in the culture of the people and not in Islamic practice.
4. Obama isn’t a Muslim. I’m sorry but if you think that just because your father is a Muslim that you are then that is incorrect. It’s not like being a Jew where you become a Jew because your mother is one (which is referring to the race of Jews and not to the religion of Judaism). Islam is a religion and unless you are raised a Muslim or choose to accept Islam then there is no way possible you can be one simply because your father is. What you are referring to is a condition of marriage to non Muslim women, that the children must be raised Muslim. But so far as I am aware, Obama was raised by his mother and their parents weren’t together right? If so then he can’t be a Muslim and even if he is, he’s not acting in the interests of Muslims by his behavior.
5. In terms of racism in the US. It’s not just a small amount of racists that are the issue, it’s a system of institutionalized racism that is the major issue and this has been a big problem since slaves were given freedom. You know, Jefferson realized that just granting freedom would not work, he knew that the former slaves would find it hard to forgive the people that kept them as slaves in the first place, and even more so, that Anglo Americans would never be able to treat the former slaves as equals and it would not be fair on the former slaves. That has been proven true countless times. If you say I’m a liar then perhaps then ask why it was necessary to create the civil rights act to protect the descendents of former slaves when they should have been protected simply by being US citizens?
Why is it that there is a higher population of African American males in Prison (841,000) in the US than there are of Anglo American males in prison (693,800)? This number is staggering when you consider that African Americans make up only about 12.2% of the US population where as Anglo Americans make up 63.7% of the US Population.
Even if we were to blame this issue on a lack of education, poverty and socio-economic status like many do it still wouldn’t make sense because if this were the case then by rights there should be a much larger Anglo American prison population than there are African Americans simply because there is a much higher population of Anglo Americans in the US that are poor and uneducated than there are African Americans who are poor and uneducated. In fact, if being poor were the only reason for the size of the prison population then there would be MILLIONS more Anglo Americans in prison than there currently are so ultimately it is a false argument which doesn’t address the problem and instead allows Americans to feel better about themselves and the system they can’t be called racist over it.
There are two other options however, if you, like many others do, feel that the fact that there is such a high population of African Americans in prison is because African Americans by nature are more inclined to commit a crime than an Anglo American then that quite simply makes you a racist.
If however you say that this is not the case and African Americans are not by nature more inclined to commit crimes then you can only then concede that the reason for this massive scale in which African Americans are imprisoned must be due to a system of institutionalized racism that:
A. Very deliberately and unfairly targets African Americans and devotes more resources to policing the African American population than it does in policing the Anglo American population.
And B. Intentionally applies much harsher penalties on African Americans in court than it does against Anglo Americans.
All up this not only means that the US has a huge problem with institutionalized racism, but when taking into consideration that the only slavery that is acceptable in the US is where the slaves are people convicted of a crime and held in prison as determined by the Thirteenth Amendment of the US Constitution one can only conclude that the objective of ‘abolishing’ slavery in the Civil War was not to actually end slavery and free African Americans at all. If anything it was the complete opposite as an attempt to legitimize the disgusting practice and also create a shift in the economic system of slavery by the US Government so that only the Government could own slaves.
By doing so the US Government has succeeded by cutting down the supply of slaves and therefore increased the value of slave labor due to the demand meaning that it is a far greater return for a much lower investment. Their friends in the corporations also benefit from it as the slave labor is still much cheaper than hiring someone to do the job and paying them a wage or salary. So essentially, they changed the capitalist nature of slavery at the time to a fascist style of slavery where only the government and the corporations benefit from it and all the while, African Americans are still the main victim.

I’m curious as to where exactly you’re getting your information. As far as I understand, the Korans were burned by accident, not because they contained secret messages. I’d be interested to know who’s reporting that they were being used to pass messages, because this seems odd to me. If they did, in fact, contain messages, why would our military burn them? Wouldn’t they be passed on to intelligence to be decoded? Wouldn’t we have quite a bit of interest in knowing what those messages said? And wouldn’t the books probably be kept as evidence of the writers’ of the messages involvement with criminal groups?
Secondly, where are you getting the information that President Karzai is harboring or funding terrorism? I haven’t heard of any intelligence reports that suggest such a thing. And considering Karzai’s long history with the CIA and his current position, you’d think that we’d have done an extremely thorough check on him, and continue to keep close tabs on him.
I’m just curious about the sources of your information. Because, as it stands and from what I can tell, the only thing that you should be apologizing to Mr. Karzai about is being horribly misinformed.

I was astounded to watch your video. I think perhaps it might be a good idea to look over some facts.
1. Actually, Afghanistan doesn’t have a penchant for raising and harboring terrorists, the majority of Afghans knew very little about Osama bin Laden, except that he helped build roads and infrastructure in Afghanistan and that he helped to fight the Soviet Union (with the US’ support). The US however does have a history of not only harboring terrorists, but creating them in the first place examples of this include the Cuban fugitive, Luis Posada Carrilles who is responsible for several attacks including the blowing up of a Cuban airline which killed more than 70 people, the US government was aware of his plot and did nothing to alert the Cubans and even used him in El Salvador as an agent. They refuse to extradite him to Cuba or Venezuela and instead harbor him, does that then give Cuba the right to now invade the US? I can imagine that you might laugh at the idea of Cuba doing that, but that is only because Cuba seems incapable of doing that militarily, however does that mean that Cuba has no right to do it? And if it does, simply because the US is the US then is that not hypocrisy which will only breed resentment to the US? Surely the US should live by the same rules it tries to force on other nations, that is of course, if you believe in equality?
2. If you think that having superior firepower and the ability to use it indiscriminately will mean that you can win a war then you’re sorely mistaken, the Russians tried that in the 80′s in Afghanistan and failed miserably, no war can be won simply by force, not unless you’re planning to take over a nation and kill every inhabitant there. The notion that the military should be able to “quickly level the bad guys and be out of there” is farcical, only an ignorant person that has delusions of grandeur would actually think that they could win a war this way, this is precisely why the US will never win any war in Afghanistan.
3. In terms of Female Genital Mutilation, I’m not sure if there have been any reports of actual FGM in Afghanistan, it’s not East Africa where this type of behavior is rife. Do they treat women badly? Sure they do, but let’s not be intellectually dishonest and willfully ignorant to attribute things to them when it is not true. There are many other abuses that occur that you could choose from.
4. In terms of some Afghans referring to Barack Obama as a ‘Black Dog’, isn’t it surprising that this occurred? I think so too, but don’t you think that you should be more angry at is the fact that the majority of the prison population in the US are African American, that the institutionalized racism there has still not ceased, according to Dr Michelle Alexander’s book The New Jim Crow: Mass Incarceration in the Age of Colorblindness it is at an all time high, yet you choose to instead focus on a minority of ignorant Afghans who chose to use the color of Barack Obama’s skin as a means to insult him. Sure it’s racist and wrong, but don’t you think it’d be a much better idea to start fixing the racism in your own backyard first or are you happy still playing the role of house negro for your massa?? Just because massa throws you a bone every once and a while it doesn’t mean that you are now equal or completely free.
5. If you don’t like Americans being in Afghanistan, wasting their lives and your tax money in being there, then perhaps it’s a good idea to remove the troops? You’re losing the war anyway and you have no moral or legal right to be there, especially considering the fact that Osama bin Laden is now dead.. Orrr maybe the US should have just handed over evidence of bin Laden’s involvement in the 9/11 attacks when the Taliban asked for it in 2001 when the US demanded they hand him over, and all of this war could have been avoided. Oh that’s right, Americans think that due to their immense size and military might, they’re not obligated to follow standard protocols when it comes to extraditions from nations, because America is so powerful and awesome that they don’t need evidence.. Was that it? Sure I think it definitely was, but the truth is that Americans simply wanted blood, not justice, they wanted a war and that is what they got, they fell into the very trap that bin Laden had planned.. How well has that worked out for you? Your nation is bankrupt, on the brink of a depression, your military is overstretched and you’re losing a war in Afghanistan by a much smaller enemy that is ultimately less well armed than you are.. Despite the fact that he is now dead, bin Laden won and America has lost.
Doesn’t seem like it’s working out well at all does it?
Now this “response piece” really shows the “roll over and let them kill us” mentality of those who are defending Islamist Terrorists!!

Thank you for your response.
I will now address some points you made in it.
You state that the Taliban would not have handed over bin Laden should the US have shown them evidence of his guilt. How do you know that? Were you part of the Taliban’s governing council? I am going to take a wild stab in the dark and guess that you were not a part of the governing council. I believe that the Taliban would have handed bin Laden over if it had been proven to them that bin Laden were responsible for the attacks on 9/11. If you look at it historically you would realize that Mullah Omar was already out of patience for bin Laden and on several occasions warned him not to attack the US because they didn’t want any repercussions back on them. The assertion that the Taliban were somehow aware of bin Laden’s activities in planning and executing the attacks on 9/11 are ridiculous, they were administering a country and not causing any issues. It might also suprise you to know that they ALSO told Clinton in 1998 the same thing, if you want bin Laden, hand over evidence that shows that he has a case to answer for and they would extradite him. Even then, the US Government didn’t hand over anything. But we could also go further back, the Sudanese government offered to hand bin Laden over a few years before but the US Government refused to take him, they didn’t even want any evidence! The US Government is not exempt from international conventions, especially that of the right process for an extradition simply because the US feels that because they are the US they are above all of these conventions. It’s arrogant and dangerous and leads to surprise surprise, wars which were unnecessary in the first place.
The reason why the White House hasn’t called out so called Islamists is because of the fact that ultimately, Muslims have nothing to answer for, the actions of these extremists are not the fault of all Muslims because the White House is aware, that these actions do not only not represent Islamic principles, but that they completely contradict such principles. But I might also remind you of something else, being an Islamist, that is a person who believes that Shariah law spread around the world, that Western law is corrupt and hypocritical is actually not illegal in the US, the first amendment gives people that right and it was the goal of the founding fathers to protect that right, even for the crazies, not just the Muslim ones but those from every religion.
In terms of leaving people like Stalin, Mao, Hitler etc in place, no I don’t think they should have been left in place but actually, you may actually recall, the US didn’t remove Mao or Stalin, Hitler yes because the US fought Germany in WW2. I’m not an apologist, I just think that not every dictator or bad government should be bombed to solve the situation, it’s not a one size fits all solution. Instead do what the Founding Fathers suggested, engage in trade and commerce and lead by example. If there is a human disaster or tragedy then yes, sure, let’s go to war to protect the innocent but that was not the intentions of the US Government in going into Afghanistan, it was never an actual goal there to remove the Taliban, that was just convenient for a short time but ultimately, the US government is aware that they’ll need to include the Taliban in a peace process and let them back into government in Afghanistan. So was it all worth it? The countless American and civilian lives that have been lost? Fighting a group that the US would ultimately let back into power? I think not.
Has the US Military made mistakes? Sure, I personally think that the US military did nothing wrong by burning those Qurans as Islamically, the only way to dispose of a Quran is by burning it. However Afghans are generally ignorant and easy to whip into a lynchmob by showing them this and saying it’s an attack on Islam.

Chance, I’ve lived in the Middle East, majority of people that are there are not extreme at all. There is a very small minority that are but that is no different than Christian extremists in the US that blow up abortion clinics and shoot abortion doctors, or Extremist Jews in Israel that pelt women with stones for being on the same bus as men and not wearing wigs or those who go into mosques and shoot them up. All groups have extremists, the majority though are not anywhere near like that.
Now in terms of the call to prayer, I’m not sure how you can consider that to be a means of ‘down grading’ of non Muslims, it simply calls people to prayer. You also state that if you miss prayers at the mosque a concerned Imam comes and visits you. That’s no different than here in the West where a Pastor or Reverend of your congregation might visit you if they don’t see you for a while, just to make sure you’re okay as their might be something they can help with, nevertheless, whilst I lived in the Middle East I never had an Imam visit me for not going to the Mosque.
Your next point about Islam saying to kill those who don’t become Muslim or marginalize them. I’m not sure where you got this idea from, if this truly were the case, the entire Middle East and parts of Europe would be Muslim and there would be no Christian or Jew near it as we’ve ruled this area. But that isn’t the case and why not? Because Islam doesn’t state that we have to force people into Islam, nor marginalize them for being non Muslim. Did you know that 20% of Arabs in the Middle East are Christian and the third largest population of Jews in the world are in Iran where they’re protected? Yet as already stated the ability of proper punishment for the crime, regretfully, is severly limited.

Islam is a religion and unless you are raised a Muslim or choose to accept Islam then there is no way possible you can be one simply because your father is. What you are referring to is a condition of marriage to non Muslim women, that the children must be raised Muslim. But so far as I am aware, Obama was raised by his mother and their parents weren’t together right? If so then he can’t be a Muslim and even if he is, he’s not acting in the interests of Muslims by his behavior.
5. In terms of racism in the US. It’s not just a small amount of racists that are the issue, it’s a system of institutionalized racism that is the major issue and this has been a big problem since slaves were given freedom. You know, Jefferson realized that just granting freedom would not work, he knew that the former slaves would find it hard to forgive the people that kept them as slaves in the first place, and even more so, that Anglo Americans would never be able to treat the former slaves as equals and it would not be fair on the former slaves. That has been proven true countless times. If you say I’m a liar then perhaps then ask why it was necessary to create the civil rights act to protect the descendents of former slaves when they should have been protected simply by being US citizens?
Why is it that there is a higher population of African American males in Prison (841,000) in the US than there are of Anglo American males in prison (693,800)? This number is staggering when you consider that African Americans make up only about 12.2% of the US population where as Anglo Americans make up 63.7% of the US Population.
Even if we were to blame this issue on a lack of education, poverty and socio-economic status like many do it still wouldn’t make sense because if this were the case then by rights there should be a much larger Anglo American prison population than there are African Americans simply because there is a much higher population of Anglo Americans in the US that are poor and uneducated than there are African Americans who are poor and uneducated. In fact, if being poor were the only reason for the size of the prison population then there would be MILLIONS more Anglo Americans in prison than there currently are so ultimately it is a false argument which doesn’t address the problem and instead allows Americans to feel better about themselves and the system they can’t be called racist over it.
There are two other options however, if you, like many others do, feel that the fact that there is such a high population of African Americans in prison is because African Americans by nature are more inclined to commit a crime than an Anglo American then that quite simply makes you a racist.
If however you say that this is not the case and African Americans are not by nature more inclined to commit crimes then you can only then concede that the reason for this massive scale in which African Americans are imprisoned must be due to a system of institutionalized racism that:
A. Very deliberately and unfairly targets African Americans and devotes more resources to policing the African American population than it does in policing the Anglo American population.
And B. Intentionally applies much harsher penalties on African Americans in court than it does against Anglo Americans.
All up this not only means that the US has a huge problem with institutionalized racism, but when taking into consideration that the only slavery that is acceptable in the US is where the slaves are people convicted of a crime and held in prison as determined by the Thirteenth Amendment of the US Constitution one can only conclude that the objective of ‘abolishing’ slavery in the Civil War was not to actually end slavery and free African Americans at all. If anything it was the complete opposite as an attempt to legitimize the disgusting practice and also create a shift in the economic system of slavery by the US Government so that only the Government could own slaves.
By doing so the US Government has succeeded by cutting down the supply of slaves and therefore increased the value of slave labor due to the demand meaning that it is a far greater return for a much lower investment. Their friends in the corporations also benefit from it as the slave labor is still much cheaper than hiring someone to do the job and paying them a wage or salary. So essentially, they changed the capitalist nature of slavery at the time to a fascist style of slavery where only the government and the corporations benefit from it and all the while, African Americans are still the main victim.

If you think you have the right to tell me not to draw mohammed cartoons, burn a koran, eat pork, drink a beer, or otherwise enjoy myself, you’re sorely mistaken. Also, if you believe you have the right to tell my wife to don a head-to-toe burlap sack, again, you’re smoking crack. My problem with Islam is generally not with individual Muslims, it’s with the groupthink that Islam seems to engender. Don’t come to the USA and then agitate for the right to twell us what we must not say or do. That doesn’t fly here. I’m not afraid of any member of The Religion of Peace, and I will never pay the jizya or bow to Islam. I hope that’s clear enough for you.

And neither I am going to worship that which you have worshipped, nor will you worship the One whom I worship. For you is your faith, and for me, my faith’. That sums it up.
You really don’t know what you are talking about, you’re not ‘anti-Islamic’, your Islamophobic – you have an irrational fear of Islam and you don’t know anything about it because you are misinformed by the media. You don’t have a mind of your own to use your own initiative to find the truth about Islam. Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world for a reason.

I’m curious as to where exactly you’re getting your information. As far as I understand, the Korans were burned by accident, not because they contained secret messages. I’d be interested to know who’s reporting that they were being used to pass messages, because this seems odd to me. If they did, in fact, contain messages, why would our military burn them? Wouldn’t they be passed on to intelligence to be decoded? Wouldn’t we have quite a bit of interest in knowing what those messages said? And wouldn’t the books probably be kept as evidence of the writers’ of the messages involvement with criminal groups?
Secondly, where are you getting the information that President Karzai is harboring or funding terrorism? I haven’t heard of any intelligence reports that suggest such a thing. And considering Karzai’s long history with the CIA and his current position, you’d think that we’d have done an extremely thorough check on him, and continue to keep close tabs on him.
I’m just curious about the sources of your information. Because, as it stands and from what I can tell, the only thing that you should be apologizing to Mr. Karzai about is being horribly misinformed.
